This week marks the final week of Unit 1 and I have some amazing student work to show off! The test might have been rocky, but students earned some cool badges for surviving it.

This week I'm building on the goals and obejctives I outlined last week and tackling assessment structure. I've decided to go with a standards-based system, each of which align to a goal or competency as defined by the Center in which this course is nested.

This series documents my experiences and thought processes as a first-time university instructor as I develop and implement “Bugs 101.” This week I'm explaining the assessment structure I like to utilize, and setting up the next few weeks where I’ll be developing each of these assessments.

Bugs 101 is the affectionate name I've given this series which documents my experiences and thought processes as a first time university instructor. This week I'm working on developing course goals and objectives, as well as making sure these early designs align with the goals, objectives, and mission statement of the center.
